If this check in is closed that means we are at capacity or closed. Please try again the next business day! Thank you!
Dear Clients and Friends of Veterinary Medical Hospital,
You may have noticed that there have been longer wait times over the last couple years. We know it can be very frustrating and we would like to address the causes of these extended wait times. With that said you may notice:
We love our patients/clients and are doing our best to accommodate everybody, so we ask that you please be kind and patient with our staff. “We will accept abuse from animals but not humans!!” Please keep in mind that if we are running behind, it is usually because we have a very sick or urgent patient. Be thankful that it isn’t your pet and know if it was your pet, we would be doing the same for your pet if needed. We understand if you choose to come back due to wait times and are happy to accommodate you the best we can. Aggressive behavior and verbal abuse will not be tolerated toward our staff, we are implementing a three-strike policy. After that, you will no longer be welcome at our clinic. We have an awesome professional team that love your pets and they deserve to be treated kindly. Please know we love your pets. When we go home at night, we often take-home worry and stress over pets we have seen throughout the day. We are often found crying in the back after a euthanasia and we show up every morning in hopes of making a difference in the lives of our patients. To our loyal and wonderful clients, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult time. Thank you, The Staff of Veterinary Medical Hospital |

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes. We would like to address the “Mystery dog Illness” that is being talked about in the media . This is presenting as a respiratory infection/pneumonia, and can happen very quickly. Symptoms include coughing, sneezing, discharge from the eyes and nose, and lethargy. As of right now, we are being instructed to ask people to keep their dogs out of dog parks and limit their exposure to any other dogs, as well as limiting their exposure to the outside world. Also, we are being asked to make sure that your dogs are up-to-date for any type of respiratory vaccines. You can give us a call and we will happily let you know what those are and if your dog is up-to-date. We will update as we learn more about this. Please just use extra caution when it comes to your pups! 11/20/23 We will be closing at 3PM on 11/22/23 so our staff can get started on their Thanksgiving! This means, if you call in a med it will not be ready in 10 minutes or if you come in, we cannot stop to fill that med right away. 24-48 hours notice to fill the meds please! You can also ask about using our autofill with our online pharmacy! Thank you! 6/22/23 Holiday News!! We will be closed Monday July 3rd AND Tuesday July 4th for a much-needed break for Doctor and Staff. If you need medications or to be seen please plan accordingly!! Saturday July 1st is a tech weekend so the Doctor will NOT be in. So, unless a medication has been given previously and within the last 6 months, she will not be able to refill any meds for the 4th of July festivities to keep your pup calm. Please stop in and see us SOON! That way you and your furbaby can relax and enjoy the holiday as well! Also, please keep in mind you do NOT need to stay in the parking lot after you have signed in.. The main reason we have put this into place is to make waiting more comfortable for you and your pet. It is getting hot, and people should NOT be sitting in their cars with their pets, especially if there is no AC for either of you. The system will text you when you are 3rd in line and this will give you 20-30 minutes to head in. There is an option to let us know if you are delayed and we will just move you down a spot until you do arrive. Your spot will not be held persay until you get there but you will be kept in line. We have to keep seeing people in the meantime until you do arrive. And then you can mark arrived or text us and let us know you are there as well! I think we are getting there and eventually this will be running more smoothly! Although so far its been fairly smooth. Also, please remember if the wait list is closed it is because we have reached capacity. For example. If it is 2PM and we have 20 people in line, realistically we cannot see that many people in that amount of time and provide the best care for your pet. I apologize if this is inconvenient, but we can only see so many people a day while providing the best care for your pet! Thank you as always for being patient while we navigate through this! 6/7/23 I would like to address some concerns about elderly people or people without phones, etc. we will of course check you/them in manually and let you know what the wait time is and help as much as we possibly can. There is no difference in that or waiting in line and getting checked in as we were before it is the same check in process. There are different options for when you get there so if it is urgent(urgent truly means urgent so this is your animal is not breathing or has been hit by a car etc. there is also usually a higher office called for this because are bumped up to the first in line) or a tech visit or a surgery drop off or just a regular visit with Dr. all of those are options so we can move things along seamlessly. We are definitely trying our best to make sure everyone is included in this change and again it is going to be a process and something we all need time to adjust to and I apologize for some peoples' unhappiness but the overall feedback has been very positive. I know sometimes change can be hard but sometimes it can also be for the better, and how do we know unless we try? I would like to remind people that you do not need to sit in the parking lot for 3+ hours that is the entire reason for this check in from home system is so you can check in from home comfortably with your pet and then come in when it is your turn. The system lets you know when you are fifth in line and tells you to head in and then once you get into the parking lot you can click on arrive and we will send you another message when it’s time to head in for your visit! These changes are definitely not to leave anyone out or to make anyone feel that they can’t come to our clinic. We welcome everyone always!! They are to prevent people from waiting in hot cars especially people that don’t have air-conditioning, etc. the wait times can get very lengthy and I want people to be as comfortable as possible and to not have to wait in our parking lot for extended periods or at least for as little amount of time as possible. I would also like to remind everyone that patience is definitely necessary during this process and poor/rude treatment of the employees will not be tolerated. They are learning along with the rest of us what works and what doesn’t and they are doing their best! Again, I welcome any questions or concerns as we want to make this a better happier place to visit for you and your furbabies!! Thank you for all the love and support that has been given recently..it is very appreciated! 6/2/23 Monday is the day!! Check in from home goes live!! We did have training today but please, please be patient with the staff as this is new to them as well! I am certain there will be bugs that will need working out.. but, we appreciate you being so patient while we get this figured out so you and your pet can wait in the comfort of your home until it's time for your visit! There will be no "walk-ins", if someone walks in, they will have to check in and can go home or grab lunch etc.. but they will be put in line as usual behind the other people checked in. Thank you again and we look forward to making your visits continually better! /20/23 The moment you have all been waiting for! CHECK IN FROM HOME!!! This link will be live on June 5th. We are still testing and working out some bugs and getting staff trained! We hope this will alleviate some stresses of having to sit in the parking lot with your pet for hours! Please be patient, this is a new system and there will be things that will need to be worked out. But we are getting there to make your visit the best visit it can be, for human and fur friends! We appreciate all of you and look forward to this next chapter! 3/7/23 I know some of you have been anxiously awaiting news of some of the changes coming to VMH! This will be the first post of many.
