Dear Clients and Friends of Veterinary Medical Hospital,
You may have noticed that there have been longer wait times over the last couple years. We know it can be very frustrating and we would like to address the causes of these extended wait times. As with many other businesses, this clinic has faced unprecedented hardship in the last years due to COVID related restrictions and staff availability. The number of pets in our area has increased significantly while the number of qualified veterinary staff has not. Pet ownership is at an all-time high and the number of strays and “trap and release” cats has also intensified. With that said you may notice:
We love our patients/clients and are doing our best to accommodate everybody, so we ask that you please be kind and patient with our staff. “We will accept abuse from animals but not humans!!” Please keep in mind that if we are running behind, it is usually because we have a very sick or urgent patient. Be thankful that it isn’t your pet and know if it was your pet, we would be doing the same for your pet if needed. We understand if you choose to come back due to wait times and are happy to accommodate you the best we can. Aggressive behavior and verbal abuse will not be tolerated toward our staff, we are implementing a three-strike policy. After that, you will no longer be welcome at our clinic. We have an awesome professional team that love your pets and they deserve to be treated kindly. Please know we love your pets. When we go home at night, we often take-home worry and stress over pets we have seen throughout the day. We are often found crying in the back after a euthanasia and we show up every morning in hopes of making a difference in the lives of our patients. To our loyal and wonderful clients, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult time. Thank you, The Staff of Veterinary Medical Hospital |
Announcements 1/1/2023
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you and your furbabies had a safe and happy holiday season! I want to let everyone know about some changes coming to the clinic this year! We will no longer be closing from 12-1 daily. However, the doctors and staff will still be taking a lunch break during that time. If you'd like to see a specific doctor and they are on break you will have to wait until that break is over, or you are more than welcome to see the doctor that is working at that time. Thank you for your understanding! Sadly, along with everywhere else we have had to adjust some pricing that will go into effect January 2nd, 2023. I know times are hard right now and we will do our best to keep prices affordable so you can continue to take the best care of your furbaby. We will also do our best to work with you! We are hoping this will be the only increase that will need to be made for a long time to come. If you have any questions, please feel free to call and speak with, or leave a message for, the Practice Manager, April. Thank you for your patience and continued support during these trying times! We will always make sure to do what we can to take care of your pets to the best of our ability! Announcements 11/22/2022 Hello everyone! We would just like to remind you that we will be closed for Thanksgiving. We will also be Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day along with New Years Eve and New Years Day! Please plan accordingly for meds, food and for a visit! A few other things.. As of December 1st, 2o22. We will be charging a $25 no call no show fee for scheduled surgeries (includes dentals). Space is very limited for these and when someone does not call or show up it puts us in a bind and is a space that could have been filled had just a phone call been made to let us know. If you are someone who is a no call no show, we will also require a deposit of half of whatever the surgery cost is estimated at. Also starting December 1st, 2022- There will be a $25 vaccination office call. A full physical exam will be done to your pet to make sure they are okay to get vaccines. This is part of a new standard to practice better medicine for you and for your pets! Also, as with everywhere else, sadly, we have had to raise a few prices for medications and supplies as these costs have also increased for us. We still try to keep them as low as possible to provide affordable care for your furbabies. But sadly, we will have to do increases as they come. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call. Thank you in advance for all of your continued support through these trying times!
